Remote Utilities – Installation & Setup Guide

Follow these steps to download, install, and configure the Remote Utilities Agent for secure remote support.

Step 1: Download the Agent

1. Visit the official download page: https://www.remoteutilities.com/download/

2. Scroll down to the "Host and Agent" section.

3. Click **Download** under the "Agent" option.

The file will be saved as agent.exe.

Step 2: Run the Agent

1. Locate the downloaded **agent.exe** file.

2. Double-click the file to run the Remote Utilities Agent.

No installation is required, as the Agent runs as a standalone application.

Step 3: Allow Necessary Permissions

1. If prompted by **Windows SmartScreen**, click **More info > Run anyway**.

2. If prompted by **User Account Control (UAC)**, click **Yes** to allow the application to run.

Step 4: Share Your Connection Information

1. Once the Agent is running, you will see a window displaying:

  • Your **Internet-ID code**
  • Your **Access Password**

2. Share these details securely with our support team.

Important: Never share your Internet-ID and password with unauthorized users.

Step 5: Keep the Agent Running

1. The Remote Utilities Agent must remain open for remote access to work.

2. If you close the Agent, our support team will not be able to connect.

The Agent will automatically close when your session ends.

Step 6: End the Remote Session

1. Once support is complete, close the Remote Utilities Agent window.

2. Your session will be securely disconnected.
